Why did Warner Bros. Discovery cancel Batgirl but not The Flash?

The rumours also stated that no platform will be used. For the purportedly $90 million movie’s distribution (i.e., neither their HBO Max platform nor a theatrical release).

After receiving official word from Warner Bros. Discovery that they were suspending the movie, supporters mobilised online to call for the studio to distribute the film. Several people questioned. The antagonist known as Firefly was also planned to be played by Brendan Fraser.

Batgirl will incur additional marketing expenses

While this was going on, media like Variety reported that the studio’s new management believed that Batgirl will incur additional marketing expenses as a result of its merger with Discovery. It’s possible that the new administration was able to secure multiple projects for Ben Affleck to reprise his role as Batman. Affleck will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom before making an appearance in the upcoming The Flash film, according to Aquaman star Jason Momoa.
