The Season 22 finale of ‘American Idol’ is all set to be a grand spectacle, featuring an array of performers and special guests. While the show is committed to providing an unforgettable experience for the finalists, it is also preparing to bid farewell to one of its judges.

The finale will see guest coach and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Jon Bon Jovi taking the stage. According to Billboard, the event will also feature special appearances by a host of artists including Nick Fradiani, New Kids On The Block, Jason Mraz, Hootie And The Blowfish, CeCe Winans, James Bay, Wynonna Judd, Seal, Bishop Briggs, and Cody Johnson.

The Season 22 finale is not just about the competition; it’s also a tribute to Katy Perry, who is leaving the show to focus on her music career. Ryan Seacrest gave a sneak peek of what viewers can expect on the finale, which will include performances from the Top 3 finalists and a series of special guest appearances leading up to the announcement of the winner.

During the ABC Upfronts, Seacrest revealed that the show would also dedicate time to bid farewell to Katy Perry. In addition to her performance at the grand finale, the show plans to celebrate her throughout the night. “We’re going to celebrate her all night. Then afterwards, I eat fish and vegetables–so she’s taking us for steak…It’s a celebratory night,” Seacrest said.

The Disney-themed ‘American Idol’ show that aired on May 12 narrowed down the competition to the top three contestants. The upcoming season finale will feature a showdown between these remaining singers to crown the winner. The top 3 contestants for ‘American Idol’ 2024 are Abi Carter, a 21-year-old musician from Indio, California; Jack Blocker, a 25-year-old graphic designer from Dallas, Texas; and Will Moseley, a 23-year-old musician from Hazlehurst, Georgia.

The ‘American Idol’ Season 22 finale is scheduled to air on May 19, 2024. The three-hour finale will be broadcast live on ABC at 8:00 pm. As the show prepares to close another successful season and bid farewell to Katy Perry, fans can look forward to a night filled with music, emotion, and celebration.
