On Monday, the Nurse Jackie alum confirmed that Edie Falco will star in an upcoming Peacock series called Bupkis during the 2022 NBCUniversal Upfront event. In the comedy series, she will play Pete Davidson’s mother in a dramatised version of his life. “I’m very pleased to be portraying your mother in this show, Pete,” Falco, 58, added, according to Deadline. “Finally, I get to play a stressed-out mother of two living in a corrupt environment. Except it’s Staten Island this time.”

Pete Davidson, 28, also attended the event with Flaco and joked about Bupkis being a Peacock original series. “I can’t believe we’re going to be on Peacock, the streaming service responsible for so many amazing series like MacGruber and Office repeats,” Pete Davidson added. “So keep an eye out for our upcoming programme, which will be streamed on the ‘Cock.” Bupkis was picked up for a straight-to-series order last month. The Saturday Night Live cast member will co-write it with longtime collaborators Dave Sirus and Judah Miller. The trio will also serve as executive producers on the project, alongside SNL founder Lorne Michaels.
