Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 12: Fruits Basket was one of the best shojo manga in the early 2000s. Natsuki Takaya is the main writer and illustrator of the manga. Hakusensha published the manga from 1998 to 2006. Intrigued by its intricate storyline the fans had requested an anime adaption. So in 2001, the first anime adaption was released. Fruits Basket 2019 is a reboot of 2001’s anime. TMS Entertainment and Funimation are the main studios behind this reboot. The first season of this reboot was released in 2019. And since then it gained quite a fanbase. Two seasons are already out and they are praised for their outstanding artistic quality. Season 3 or The Final started releasing this year. Until now we got 11 episodes. And fans are waiting for the next to come.

Tohru (Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 12)

At the starting of the episode, we can see Hanajima and Uotani are waiting at the front door of the Sohma Hospital for Tohru to come. She should be discharged this evening. When Tohru comes out both of them welcome her. Then Tohru sees Kyo at a distance, staring at her. As soon as that happens she runs away, most probably she was shy. Tohru was running but Kyo crosses her path and wants to tell her something. But she again starts running. Tohru loves Kyo, but she blames herself for hurting Kyo because of the conversation they had previously. She is just fighting with herself. She wants to be with Kyo forever. But she thinks she cannot.

In the end, Kyo finds Tohru in a park near a pool. Kyo apologizes for his words and when he ran away from her. And asks for one last chance from her. He confesses to her that he wants to be with her and he loves her. Tohru starts crying in happiness. Kyo wipes her tears with his hand and kisses her. That really startled Tohru and out of shy she is shivering. Kyo asks if he can hold her sometimes even if he knows that he will transform, but still. Tohru says she loves her so it’s okay. Then Kyo holds her in his arms. But this time Kyo doesn’t transform. So both of them and Akito too felt that the curse of Kyo has been broken. Akito says goodbye from her home.

Akito remembers her conversation with Tohru at the hospital. She complimented Tohru by saying that she is pretty and pure. In reply, Tohru said not to categorize people like that. According to her, it’s all about perspective. Because Akito is pure too when she confessed her loneliness and fear to her.

Fruits Basket Season 3 Episode 11: Tohru remembers the story of GOD and his 13 friends

When Tohru was in Kyo’s arms she remembers the story about a lonely person who lived in a cottage high in a mountain. He was afraid of being judged by people. So he lived isolated. But one day a cat appeared at his doorstep. The cat respectfully asked him if he can stay with him. After that, the cat started living with him and called him GOD. GOD enjoyed the cat’s company. One day he got an idea that those who are unlike humans would be his friends. So GOD wrote many invitations and sent them all over the world. After some time 12 creatures arrived to see GOD. So this is how it all began. GOD and 13 creatures began holding banquets.

At last, GOD realized what happiness feels like. But one night the cat collapsed as his life span was running out. Seeing that other animals started to cry. GOD realized that it’s not only the cat. But eventually, everyone will ide and the banquet will stop. Then GOD did some spell and made the bond between all of them. No matter how many times they die they will remain connected and they will do banquet after banquet. But the cat said that he doesn’t need eternal bonds. They are mortals no matter how hard it is everyone has to die. But the cat also said if they meet again, he wants GOD to see with other people not only with themselves. After this, the cat died. And eventually, all other animals have died. GOD became lonely again but he knew that after his death he will meet them again. In this way, it happened for thousands of years.

Akito says to herself that it’s okay to stop being special and live a normal life, a life of her own. And says goodbye to everyone. Then all the bonds break.
