Lincoln Riley is Set to Give Up His Position of Oklahoma Football Coach

Lincoln Riley is one of the youngest American football coaches, born on September 5, 1983. His full name is Lincoln Michael Riley and is 38 years old. Riley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science from Texas Tech in 2006. Lincoln Riley was married to Caitlin and has two daughters. Riley’s daughters’ names are Sloan and Stella. Riley has two pets Boomer and Sooner. He has a younger brother named Garrett, who presently serves as an offensive coordinator at Southern Methodist University.

Lincoln Riley’s Coaching Career

From 2017 to 2021, Riley served for five seasons as the head coach at the University of Oklahoma. Lincoln Riley won four Big 12 Conference football championships in the UO with three appearances in the College Football Playoff. Riley was first hired by Bob Stoops

on January 12, 2015, as the offensive coordinator for Oklahoma Sooners. After Bob Stoops took retirement as head coach, Riley took the place as a successor. He has been a vital part of Oklahoma. Oklahoma had four 10-win seasons in the last 5 years. He has been a model of sustained success in the sport.

Lincoln Riley decided to leave Oklahoma was sudden news. Emerging as a coach in the time of Oklahoma, Riley has been one of the strongest young coaches in football. Riley took charge of 53 games and won 45 of them.

He started; Oklahoma being the best college football program in the country is never going to change.
