Cain Velasquez, the former UFC heavyweight champion, has been charged with attempted murder. The San Jose Police Force says in a release that Velasquez has been under arrest in San Jose, California. On Monday night. following reportedly shooting somebody.

As per reports in the mainstream news. Velasquez opened fire on a vehicle carrying a man accused of abusing a close relative of the heavyweight champion. According to authorities, the individual injured by the bullets was indeed the accused’s stepfather. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
Moreover, Cain Velasquez has been under arrest in the Santa Clara County jail without bond. And therefore is scheduled to be charged on Wednesday.

“At this moment, the intention and facts surrounding this act are still under investigation,” the statement said.

“Units are now on the site of a shooting near the Monterey Highway and Bailey Avenue intersection. “One adult guy fired at least once and transported to a medical center with non-life serious injuries”. San Jose police tweeted at the time.

“One suspect is in custody. The motive or conditions are unknown. Please stay away from the area while we do our investigation. For several hours, traffic will be interrupted in both ways on Monterey Highway,” the notification continued.
