ABBA is back! After 4 decades they are back again with a new album. The “Voyage” is a follow-up of the “Visitors”. “The Visitors” is the last song. Since then they never got back together. Now, they are back with a roar releasing two news songs namely, “I Still Have Faith in You” and “Don’t Shut Me Down,”
ABBA is an acronym from the names of the band from Swedish. They were Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. They started their career as a band in 1970 as theatre artists. After four years, they won Eurovision after three attempts. They became notable celebrities with their marvelous songs called Dancing Queen and Fernando. The band became awe-inspiring with their hit song Mamma Mia. They were one of the most achieving music bands of all time. They sold nearly 400 Million albums, globally.
The septuagenarian band was now planning a massive comeback nearly after 40 years. Their 10-track album Voyage is getting released on November 10th. Given that, by Universal Music Group’s Capitol label publishing it.
In the upcoming concerts, the group will perform digitally(ABBA-tars) as well as in-person musical performances.
On May 27th, 2022, they are going to perform at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.
“Mamma Mia” song made the group massive popularity among fans. Coupled with the film “Mamma Mia” gave them a grand success.
Why did ABBA split up?
Back in the 1970s, When they were in their late twenties, Björn and Agnetha got married whereas, Benny and Anni-Frid got engaged. Unfortunately, their personal life got involved with their professional life. So, During the last performance in 1982, rumors spiraled all over their fans that Agnetha and Björn got divorced two years back. Benny and Anni-Frid got separated a year back. For this reason, their individual interests in career paths paved way for their split. After that, the band never announced their split up. Yet, their dedication towards the band diminished.
In fact, In an interview, they shared their excitement about the new starting.
They say, restarting their pop music as a younger version of themselves. They say to fans to get ready for a holographic live show with motion captures. This technology works exactly as same as The Lord of Rings visuals. They resemble their younger self look back from 1979. George Lucas’ special effects and Industrial Light and Magic are in there for dazzling visuals. Hence, They are eager to watch themselves in virtual mode along with their true-hearted fans.
