The most successful band of all time ABBA announced a comeback almost 40 years ago with a new studio album. They will be going to release a new 10-track album, “Voyage”, on November 5th via Universal Music Group Capitol.
The two recently released songs “I Still Have Faith in You” and “Don’t Shut Me Down” were recorded by Andersson’s Riksmixningsverket in Stockholm. And both of the songs will appear at the concert. These songs are the first released from the ABBA group. The last release was ”Under Attack” in December 1982.
Although the members are now in their 70s and have released several solo projects. It was assuming that the digital versions of ABBA were created “after weeks and months” of motion capture.
Voyage And Concert Performers.
“ABBA Voyage” will be performed on May 27 at “ABBA Arena”. A modern 3000-seat stadium located in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. The bookings were started at abbavoyage.com with tickets on general sale from September 7th.
According to the statement, at the upcoming concert, singers Agneta Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, as well as instrumentalists/musicians Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus, will perform digitally via avatars with a 10-member live band at a specially designed stadium in London starting May 27, 2022.
In 2019, the couple announced that the music would be delayed as they prepared to wrap up the concert, and a cryptic message about “ABBA Voyage” was finally posted on social media last week. This announcement takes three and a half years. Ulvaeus and Andersson announced about new music – first two, then six, and the virtual performance – in the show.
The ABBA group said, “It’s been a long time since we composed music together. In fact, it’s almost 40 years actually. In the spring of 1982, we took a break, and now we decided it was time to end it”.
They said it was reckless. We waited over 40 years between album and album, “so we recorded the sequel” The Visit “. In fact, the main inspiration for the re-recording came from us. We were involved in creating the most epic concert you could ever dream of. So that we could sit in the audience and watch our digital self perform our songs. We are on stage for the purpose-built to build something for our followers.
