President of DC Films, Walter Hamada is reported to virtually testify in the ongoing high-profile defamation trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.

Hamada reportedly is going to testify on 24th May, Tuesday. He is expected to clear the air over Heard’s claims that her role was cut down in the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Furthermore, Hamada might tell the jurors that Heard’s recent legal battle did not affect her participation in DC’s Aquaman series, specifically her role in the forthcoming Aquaman sequel.

Here is everything you need to know.

Walter Hamada Testifying Against Amber Heard

Walter Hamada, President of DC’s Films supposed testimony comes just over a month after he revealed that Amber Heard was initially declined because of her chemistry with Jason Momoa.

Amid her highly publicized complicated court dispute, Heard remains adamant that Warner Bros reduced her planned appearance in Aquaman 2.

She further mentions that legal situations have damaged her status with Warner Bros. As per her testimony on 16th May, the actress revealed that she had to fight for her role in the Lost Kingdom since ‘Warner Bros didn’t want to include her in the film.’

Heard continued that the studio house did not want to bring her back overall.

Regardless, the public will closely scrutinize Hamada’s upcoming testimony as he presents his side of the story.

DC Film President Denies Amber Heard’s Claim

Walter Hamada is no stranger to dealing with controversy. He has previously dealt with Ray Fisher’s charges against him following Justice League. He also pertained to Ezra Miller’s legal issues ahead of The Flash’s movie release.

Hamada remains steadfast that Warner Bros did not reduce her time to shine in Aquaman’s sequel despite Amber Heard’s claims.

Walter Hamada further pointed out that the future of Heard in the Aquaman franchise will solely depend on her chemistry issues with star Jason Momoa, who acts as Arthur Curry.

He also mentioned that Heard’s role in the movie will not be connected to the bad press she is receiving over her defamation trial with her former husband, Johnny Depp.

It was speculated that Heard’s character Mera would possibly be pregnant in Aquaman 2. This would perhaps limit her action shots in the entirety of the film.

The 36-year-old actress played a key character of Atlantean royal Mera. She has been a part of DC Extended Universe since 2016. She first appeared in 2017’s Justice League and continued to reprise her role in 2018’s Aquaman.
