Ryan has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Ken in the Barbie movie. He shared his thoughts on the nomination in a recently released statement, writing, “I’m extremely honoured to be nominated by my colleagues alongside such remarkable artists in a year of so many great films”.

Ryan Gosling expresses his disappointment in his statement
With many expecting Margot Robbie to be nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards 2024 and Greta Gerwig to be nominated for Best Director, it didn’t happen, leaving everyone, including Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera, disappointed.
Ryan in his statement wrote, “There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history making, globally celebrated film”.
He added, “No recognition would be possible for anyone on that film without their talent, grit and genius. To say that I’m disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement”.
