Rubi Rose Changes Profile Pic After Backlash Over ‘Ready for Ramadan’ Tweet

In response to a tweet about Ramadan, Rubi Rose received some hefty backlash on social media. Muslim communities around the world are preparing for Ramadan, which starts later this week in the U.S.A. on the evening of March 22 and ends on the evening of April 20. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, during which Muslims fast, pray, reflect, and join together. Fans slammed Rubi Rose for tweeting “Ready for Ramadan” on Monday night (Mar. 20). Due to Rubi Rose’s provocative profile picture, fans objected to her tweeting about the holy month. As of her Ramadan post, the rapper’s Twitter avatar featured her bent over with a hand covering her nether regions looking back at the camera.

Some pointed to a previous tweet from Rubi Rose in which she implied she was Christian. Rubi even shared an image a few hours later of herself wearing a hijab and covering her hair while rumoured to be dating rapper French Montana. In addition, she changed her Twitter profile picture to a red circle. Even though Rubi Rose did not address the backlash directly, she did retweet City Girl’s JT’s statement I love learning the hard way. I’m touching the stove every chance I get! read the tweet. There were some fans who blasted Rubi Rose for her tweet, while others were far more supportive.

Social media users reacted negatively to a tweet Rubi Rose posted about Ramadan. In the U.S.A., Ramadan begins on the evening of Mar. 22 and concludes on the evening of Apr. 20. Muslims worldwide are preparing for the holy month of Ramadan that begins later this week. Muslims observe Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, as a time for fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. As of Monday evening (Mar. 20), Rubi Rose became the target of a backlash from fans when she tweeted, Ready for Ramadan. U covered your poom poom in your profile pic, saying you were ready for Ramadan, read one tweet viewed over one million times and liked nearly 50,000 times. Rubi Rose’s provocative profile picture caused fans to object to her tweets about the holy month. She had a photo of herself bent over with a hand covering her nether regions as her Twitter avatar at the time of her Ramadan post. According to others, Rubi Rose implied she was Christian in a previous tweet. She shared a picture a few hours later of herself wearing a hijab and covering her hair. Rubi Rose is rumoured to be dating French Montana. Additionally, she changed her Twitter profile picture to a red circle.

In response to the backlash, Rubi Rose retweeted a statement from City Girls’ JT I love learning the hard way, I’m touching the stove every time! In the tweet, the message read. A statement relating to social media was also shared by the “Wifey” hitmaker. Twitter and Instagram are really two different places, she said. Rubi Rose’s tweet was criticized by some fans, but others praised it. One fan wished Allah would make it easy for us and change all of us for the better. You shouldn’t pay attention to the bad-minded people here. Thank you for tweeting this. Another user shared that Allah is watching those who judge and discourage her. Inshallah, Ramadan will be a good one for you, said another. Also French Montana and Rubi Rose are in new couple mode … doing a night out in Bev Slopes, and they won’t hesitate to show some PDA as the freshest romantic pairing in hip hop!!!
