As a result, the actor found himself in hot water with angry DC fans who were already at odds with the studio.
I know in your mind you’re trying to somehow come to my defense, but I’m good. Also, this is exactly the type of decisive behavior that I’m talking about. No need to call people names. Big bigger. Stand taller. Behave respectfully even when respect isn’t afforded to you. 🙏 https://t.co/eEW3XAf8yj

I’m not judging you, brother. I actually love you. I really do. 🤗 I have no issue with Snyder fans. Heck, I’ve been to nearly all his movies myself. My issue is with anyone who wishes to destroy something, simply because it’s not what they want. That comes from hate, not love. https://t.co/cVEHsvdOnb

Actor Zachary Levi Latest Tweet Deemed “Mature” And Respectful Amid Ongoing Box Office Controversy
With Shazam 2 recently released amid another underwhelming opening at the box office, things aren’t looking great for the DC extended universe. With only $30 million earned in its opening weekend, the film has already broken DC’s record for lowest opening. In addition to being one of the last DC movies from the current era, it will be completely reworked under James Gunn’s guidance. Zachary Levi, who stars in Shazam 2, recently opened up about the ongoing toxicity of Zack Snyder fans after the film’s disappointing performance. Angry fans of DC were already at odds with the studio on account of this, putting the actor in hot water. In response to some fans’ criticism, Zachary urged everyone to “stand taller.” The actor’s mature response has won hearts as fans applaud his mature response. Following Levi’s response to the fans on Twitter, others came to his support. The Shazam 2 star was praised for his mature and respectful response. This controversy was started when Zachary Levi spoke with Josh Horowitz on The Happy Sad Confused podcast about the pressures of playing a DC hero and the expectations of fans.
Aside from that, he criticized the fandom’s toxicity, which has caused it to object to anything not related to the SnyderVerse canon. Regarding SnyderVerse fans, Levi said: There’s a whole contingent of comic book fans, but there’s one particular group that doesn’t like me because I disagree with their views on other comic book movies. You know who I’m referring to. Then they stir up all their other people online, and then they all want to attack, and attack, and attack, and attack, and attack. Instead of having a conversation, they use my words or things that I said out of context, and then they go stir up all the other people that they know online, and they all want to attack. I find it sad because this is only one example of so many that go on in these cyber dimensions, where venom, poison, and bullying are rampant. Hence, the Twitter war that is currently raging between the two sides was sparked. Currently, Shazam 2 is playing in theatres.
That’s a really mature response and that’s very fair

It’s almost like you ascribe to “try not to offend and try harder not to be offended” mantra. More power to you Good Sir! And Shazam!

Respect isn't afforded to you because you disrespected fans first. And out of all the years, you haven't once apologized but have instead doubled down on your behavior to paint fans in a negative light. You're not a victim.

Can’t we all just support each side of DC fandom, we can like all sides too. Whether it’s the Snyder DC movies, Burton, Nolan, Gunn, Reeves Batman, Joker, Gunn’s DCU, the old DCEU. It’s endless guys!
