Prominent influencer Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Le has announced his departure from streaming, nearly a year after signing an exclusive deal with Rumble. RiceGum, who initially rose to fame on YouTube, transitioned to streaming and had accumulated over 1 million followers on Twitch before moving to Rumble in July 2023.

Le’s switch to Rumble came despite significant interest from rival platform Kick, as he believed Rumble’s contract was the best fit for him. On his most recent Rumble broadcast, RiceGum hinted that it would “probably” be his last stream, reflecting on the demands of a streaming career:

“Yeah, it’s probably my last stream. Re-sign for four years chat? You guys are crazy, bro. I really sit here for a year of my life for pride, like I really did this sht for a year. And when you are streaming, you can’t really do anything else but commit to this sht.”

On May 30, Le went live in a broadcast titled ‘LAST STREAM BYE,’ where he thanked his fans for their support on Rumble. He admitted that streaming consumed a significant portion of his time and mentioned that his contract with the platform was nearing its end. He also revealed that Rumble had informed him that his audience wasn’t growing as expected, leading them to reduce his required streaming hours.

“They were like, you can keep streaming if you want,” Le explained. “I was like, ‘About that…'”

Reflecting on his time with Rumble, he said, “I really sat here for a year of my life. When you’re streaming, you can’t really do anything else besides commit to this sh*t.”

Le expressed gratitude towards his fans, acknowledging their role in helping him secure the Rumble deal: “You guys have a warm place in my heart.”

This announcement came just a day before another streamer, BruceDropEmOff, revealed his departure from Kick to return to Twitch, signaling significant shifts in the streaming landscape as contracts come to an end.

RiceGum admitted uncertainty about his future in content creation, stating, “We gotta get back to the drawing board, bro… I don’t really wanna do YouTube. TikTok is getting banned.”

When asked about the possibility of moving to Kick, Le dismissed the idea, saying, “Kick ain’t even all that. When I signed to Rumble, people made it seem like I was missing out on so much. Honestly, Twitch is where it’s at, but I don’t really know what I’m gonna stream on,” he continued, speculating that he might have been “shadow-banned” on Twitch.

For now, RiceGum’s next steps in content creation remain uncertain, leaving his fans curious about what he will pursue next.
