Asmongold Calls for Legal Action Against Natalie Reynolds After Near-Drowning Incident on Livestream
3 min readTwitch star Asmongold has publicly demanded legal action against Kick streamer Natalie Reynolds following a controversial incident where a woman nearly drowned during Reynolds’ livestream. The event unfolded on May 29, 2024, as Reynolds participated in Ice Poseidon’s scavenger hunt, offering a woman $20 to jump into a lake and retrieve an RFID tag.
The situation quickly escalated when the woman, unable to swim, began screaming for help after jumping into the lake head-first. Instead of assisting, Reynolds fled the scene in a vehicle as emergency responders arrived. Despite Reynolds’ defense that the woman “got the help she needed” and wanted to swim, her actions have sparked widespread backlash.
Natalie Reynolds, a social media influencer, convinced a mentally ill homeless woman who can't swim to jump in the lake for $20.

Asmongold, a prominent Twitch streamer, has been one of the most vocal critics. He argued that Reynolds’ actions were reckless and should carry legal consequences:
“If I convinced somebody to jump in a lake, and they were drowning, and were gonna die, like, ask somebody to go get a f**king life raft,” Asmongold stated, emphasizing the availability of life vests that could have been used to prevent the situation.
Asmongold believes that a simple ban from the streaming platform is insufficient punishment for Reynolds’ behavior. He called for legal accountability, suggesting that Reynolds should face criminal charges for her role in the near-drowning incident:
“Now, in my opinion, with something like this, what do you need to have happen with this? I want to see there be legal accountability for something like this. I don’t care about getting banned from a website. I feel like the reason people feel so fresh doing this stuff is because they know they can get away with it.”
He expressed confidence that if the case went to trial, Reynolds would likely be convicted:
“I think that if this went to a jury, and she did get charged with something, she would 100% probably go to jail. And the only chance that maybe she wouldn’t, is she’s a woman. If a guy did this, he’d be going to jail, 100%. Wouldn’t even be a question. She’s stupid as well. This is another situation where it’s a Kick streamer doing something like this.”
This incident is not Reynolds’ first brush with controversy. In the past two years, she has faced accusations of animal abuse, including spearing a wild boar on stream in 2023 and catching and sitting on a shark earlier in 2024.
As of now, Natalie Reynolds has neither been charged with a crime nor banned from the Kick platform. The unfolding situation continues to stir debate about the responsibilities and consequences for streamers who engage in dangerous or controversial activities for content.
