Matthew McConaughey, the Oscar-winning star of Dallas Buyers Club, has always had a head full of hair. The 52-year-old actor, however, is thought to have undergone a hair transplant in the past. McConaughey reportedly addressed rumors of hair transplantation during a recent interview with LADbible, where he addressed his hair loss.

According to McConaughey, he first noticed hair loss in his mid-twenties. It continued into his early thirties when he was in the late 1990s or early aughts. His hair grew back with an increased density after he shaved it off, the Texas native explained.

McConaughey was photographed looking down laughing with a baseball-sized bald spot on his head.

He also discussed his hair loss in his “part memoir” Greenlights. In addition, McConaughey credited Regenix as a contributing factor to his hair regrowth in the LADbible interview.

As for the topical ointment, he said that he used it once a day for 10 minutes on his scalp.

Matthew McConaughey revealed that the ointment was Regenix during his appearance on Live with Ryan and Kelly earlier in 2017.

McConaughey also talked about a doctor who claimed he had given him a hair transplant in the LADbible interview.

How the Regenix hair loss treatment works

Over three decades ago, Regenix became available as a personal hair loss treatment. Only natural ingredients are used in the treatment, which claims to thicken hair and stimulate growth. In addition, the brand claims its products are free from any drugs or other chemicals.

The treatment, which apparently contains only naturally derived ingredients such as tea tree oil and chamomile, is endorsed by McConaughey. Additionally, it contains vitamins and minerals that promote hair growth and thicken strands of hair, which increases hair density.

Beverly Hills-based firm offers shampoos and hair sprays that contain ointment. According to the company, their specialist performs microanalysis to determine the treatment to be used. As a result, any liquid product can be customized to meet a client’s requirements.
