Russia Invades Ukraine

After entering the country from the north, east, and south last week, Russian soldiers have attacked targets throughout the country. Western analysts have said that although Russia outnumbered and outgunned Ukraine’s defenses, they have maintained a stronger stand-off than Putin had anticipated. It appears a huge Russian military convoy was stuck outside Kyiv for days, slowed by logistical problems and opposition from Ukraine’s military.

However, the Russian troops have seized Kherson. In addition to shelling Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-biggest city, and attacking Mariupol, another port city, they bombarded defense forces there as well.
