Pirates of the Caribbean actor Greg Ellis shows his support for Johnny Depp: Who is Greg Ellis?

Pirates of the Caribbean actor Greg Ellis spoke in favor of his fellow cast member Johnny Depp amid his highly-publicized defamation trial.

Ellis has repeatedly shown his support for Depp throughout his libel case over the years.

Recently the actor took to his Twitter account to share that Depp is ‘beloved’ by many people in the industry. He further pointed out that Depp’s former wife Amber Heard is ‘universally detested.’

Greg Ellis shows his support for Johnny Depp

In his tweet, Greg Ellis claimed that Amber Heard pre-planned the legal ordeal six years ago when she started her ‘legal maneuvers’.

Furthermore, in a second tweet, the actor mentioned that Heard’s greatest accomplishment was starting a “Men Too” dialogue instead of a “Me Too” monologue.’

Ellis regularly posts new videos on his YouTube channel to discuss the controversial  Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard defamation trial. 

In one of those clips, the actor was heard saying that he had known the Pirates of the Caribbean star for over twenty years.

Ellis talked about his first meeting with Depp. He said they first met during the cast script reading for the first film of the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

The actor went on to say he and Depp have worked together for the other four movies in the franchise. He then stated some facts about the relationship between Depp and Heard.

In his recent YouTube video, Ellis spoke about why Heard’s testimony against Depp was ‘dangerous’.

Who is Greg Ellis?

Greg Ellis is mostly recognized for his work in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise where he acted as Lieutenant Commander Groves.

He is also recognized for acting as Chief Engineer Olsen in Star Trek directed by J.J. Abrams.

The actor was also nominated for an Emmy award as well as for an Annie Award ceremony.

Ellis has acquired quite a significant career which included voiceovers along with performing on both screens and on stage.

He played a recurring role in the fifth season of Hawaii Five-0 as Thomas Farrow. Moreover, the actor featured regularly on Fox’s drama series called Touch. He acted as Trevor Wilcox.

Talking about his film career, Ellis starred in some prominent movies such as Beowulf, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, as well as Titanic.

Some of his voiceover credits include Batman: The Brave & the Bold, Scooby-Doo? The Boondocks, Sofia the First, and Phineas and Ferb.
