Wendy Williams has gained partial success in her ongoing legal battle and has obtained some access to her bank accounts. Regardless she is still unable to sign her checks, with which she is not okay.

The former daytime talk queen further disapproves of the court’s decision to appoint a financial guardian in her Wells Fargo lawsuit.

Here is everything you need to know.

Wendy Williams ‘not in agreement’ with court’s verdict amid her Wells Fargo lawsuit

On 20th May, Wendy Williams’ attorney, LaShawn Thomas spoke to Page Six regarding the New York Supreme Court’s decision to appoint an unnamed guardian in charge of Williams’ money.

He said, ‘Please be advised that Wendy is not in agreement with the appointment of a financial guardian by the court.’

Thomas continued, ‘Wendy has been very clear that she does not want a financial guardian to tell her what she can and cannot do with her money.’

What is the Wells Fargo lawsuit?

Wendy Williams has been battling with Wells Fargo for most of this year. She was denied access to her insignificant accounts while being off the air owing to Graves disease and other health issues.

During a video broadcast she held online back in March she accused her former manager Bernie Young of taking $100,000 from her bank account to give a guardianship established.

The ‘ How You Doin’ host stated, ‘I want my money, this is not fair.’

The multinational financial services organization blocked all its accounts of Williams after a former advisor raised concerns over her ‘unsound mind’.

The bank released a statement back in March when they appointed a temporary guardian.

They said, ‘Wells Fargo’s priority is the financial well-being of Ms. Williams and the preservation of her privacy.’

The back further added, ‘As we have expressed to the Court, Wells Fargo is open to working with Ms. Williams’ counsel to release funds directly to her creditors for bills historically and regularly paid from her accounts.’

When will Wendy Williams return to the television screens?

The Wendy Williams Show, now filming for its season 13, started bringing in different guest hosts to substitute Williams’ absence in January.

In late February, Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury, which served as the producer and the distributor for The Wendy Williams Show officially announced that they have declined the series. They further started a new series presented by Sherri Shepherd.

Williams however claimed that she will return to the television screens soon.
