Ninja Praises Kai Cenat for Surpassing His Peak Twitch Viewership Record
3 min readTyler Blevins, better known as Ninja, has weighed in on the news that Kai Cenat has surpassed his highest peak viewership record on Twitch. Kai Cenat’s recent broadcast, featuring comedian Kevin Hart and internet personality Druski, garnered an impressive 720,000 viewers at its peak, overtaking Ninja’s record of 631,000 viewers set during his iconic 2018 Fortnite stream with Drake.
The milestone was brought to Ninja’s attention during one of his latest streams. In response, Ninja acknowledged the achievement and noted that while his record was notable, the all-time Twitch viewership record stands at 3.3 million, held by Spanish streamer Ibai. Addressing his viewers, Ninja remarked:
“Kai beat your most-viewer record last night? The most-viewer record on Twitch is 3.34 million. Should I make that my title, bro? Am I supposed to be offended, guys? Just put it in sub-mode now.”
The @KaiCenat x @druski x @KevinHart4real Sleepover last night was one for the books, and not just because Kai broke the North American record for max viewers (712k!).

Ninja Applauds Kai Cenat’s Accomplishment
Kai Cenat, who joined Twitch in 2021, has quickly risen to prominence in the streaming world. Known for his engaging subathons and high-profile guest appearances, Cenat has continuously drawn large audiences. His June 10 broadcast, featuring Kevin Hart and Druski in a sleepover stream, attracted a significant viewership, helping him set a new record for North American streamers.
Ninja addressed the viewers’ comments during his June 11 stream, where fans mistakenly believed Kai had broken the all-time Twitch viewership record. According to TwitchTracker, Kai’s stream peaked at 672,744 viewers, surpassing Ninja’s Fortnite session with Drake, which had 616,693 viewers. However, this figure still falls short of the overall record.
Ninja expressed no animosity, instead praising Kai for his accomplishment and recognizing him as one of the most influential streamers today:
“It’s a matter of time. Kai is probably the biggest streamer in the world right now, American at least.”

He highlighted the star-studded nature of Kai’s streams, mentioning the involvement of celebrities like LeBron James and Kevin Hart:
“FaceTiming LeBron James, dude? Druski, Kevin Hart are there in person, bro. Respect! So much f*cking star power there.”
Despite his record being surpassed, Ninja remains aware that both he and Kai have a considerable gap to close before challenging Ibai’s 3.3 million viewership record, set during the La Velada Del Año boxing event in July 2023.
Reflecting on His Own Journey

Ninja also used the opportunity to reflect on his career trajectory. He humorously acknowledged the barrage of comments about his record being broken and clarified the distinction between his personal best and the all-time record held by Ibai.
“Almost there, guys. We both just have to get 3.5 million viewers,” he joked. “No record got broken last night. Except for mine.”
Ninja’s comments come a month after he speculated that his career might have taken a different path had he not switched to Mixer and continued his Twitch momentum. He later tempered those remarks, admitting that he might not have been able to match the innovative and intensive streaming efforts that Kai Cenat consistently delivers.
Kai Cenat’s recent achievement underscores his growing influence and the dynamic nature of the streaming industry, with new talents continuously reshaping the landscape. Ninja’s gracious response and recognition of Kai’s success highlight the camaraderie and mutual respect among top streamers, despite the competitive nature of their profession.
