MLB Star Jorge Soler Faces Lawsuit Over Fan’s Eye Injury from Thrown Ball at 2021 World Series

A woman has filed a lawsuit against MLB star Jorge Soler for hitting her during a baseball game in 2021 that has caused her right eye severe injury. The complaint from the baseball fan who attended the game of Soler back in 2021 in which she was hit has come years after the incident happened.

Baseball fan sues Jorge Soler over his 2021 game
Jorge Soler, who is known as one of the best baseball players, is facing legal trouble after being sued by a baseball fan. A woman named Mayra Morris filed a lawsuit against the MLB star Soler for his 2021 baseball game. As in the same game, Morris was hit by Soler’s baseball in the stands.

In the filed lawsuit Morris has alleged that Soler had hit her eyes “directly” when his baseball came in the stands. She claimed that the ball came “with great force, speed, and intensity”. Which ultimately hit her right eye causing severe injury to it.

Morris had stated that the incident of getting hit by the baseball of Soler caused “excruciating injury to her right eye”. The lawsuit is reported to have been filed by Morris on October 25. The incident took place in the year 2021 during the World Series game.
During the same game between the Braves and the Astros, Morris was seated near the right field grass with her husband and brother-in-law to watch the game. In the fifth inning, she was struck by a ball hit by Soler. Her lawsuit also includes her husband, Scott, as one of the plaintiffs.

Mayra Morris has sued both Jorge Soler and the Braves for the damages. Her husband alleged that the incident had resulted in “loss of companionship, love, affection and intimacy” in his life.
Her diagnosis after the incident caused injury to her right eye with her having multiple fractures, an edema, and infra-orbital abrasion. That will eventually require her to see medical attention for the long term. After the lawsuit though, the Braves have not yet responded to the whole thing.
