Each shirt bore the initials of each of the group’s members: Yunjin, Sakura, Chaewon, Kazuha, & Eunchae, as well as the NBA emblem. “Where to for our next perfect night?” the message asks, referencing their recent release “Perfect Night.” Fans have speculated that the group might be preparing to perform during a halftime performance at an upcoming Lakers game due to the mysterious remark and the visual cue.

Since K-POP group LE SSERAFIM recently collaborated with Overwatch 2, you’d assume they’d take a break for the time being. The next NBA game between the Los Angeles Lakers & the Los Angeles Clippers on November 2 stoked the conjecture even further. Fans expressed their excitement and aspirations for the K-POP group to perform their debut English digital song during the game’s halftime performance on social media. While the cooperation with the Lakers has not been formally announced, LE SSERAFIM will be in Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards’ Global Spin Live, where they will headline the concert at the Grammy Museum.

LE SSERAFIM enthusiasts, also known as FEARNOTs, were quick to express their delight with this new development. @peachachuwu, a fan, commented on X, “I AM unexpectedly INTERESTED IN SPORTS now.” LE SSERAFIM is a rookie female group from Source Music, which is owned by HYBE Corporation. They made their debut on May 2, 2022, with their debut mini-album titled Fearless. The trio has been turning heads in the music industry with their unique notion of breaking stereotypes. Huh Yunjin shared a picture of all the Lakers’ jerseys on her profile, hinting at a prospective collaboration with the National Basketball Association (NBA). The song is their initial English single, and it was created in collaboration with Overwatch 2, a hugely popular multiplayer online game. The FEARNOTs seized over social media and filled it with tweets flowing with excitement, surprise, and pride. @sserapics, a fan of the female group, tweeted, “LE SSERAFIM IS GOING TO THE NBA?” In response to @sserapics’ tweet, others commented. In addition to LE SSERAFIM, the NBA has signed another K-Pop megastar for 2023. SUGA, a soloist and member of the popular K-pop boy band BTS, was named an NBA ambassador on April 6, 2023. His stage name even represents his love of the game, so fans are overjoyed that he is the newest NBA ambassador. Fans are ecstatic about LE SSERAFIM’s collaboration with the NBA. Given that the female group’s current career trajectory has reached a new high with the most recent announcement of the NBA collaboration, it seems like this collaboration will solidify the group’s popularity outside of the K-pop music industry.
