Fans are flooding Twitter with Miley Cyrus Flowers memes as they react to her viral hit. The song has quickly become a world anthem and fans are reacting with memes. Ahead of the 30-year-old’s upcoming album Endless Summer Vacation, released on March 10, the song was released on January 13. Her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, with whom she dated for a decade, is believed to be the subject of the song, which is about a past lover. In a single week, the song became Spotify’s most streamed song, and the singer thanked her amazing fans.
“Variety” reports that Spotify announced on Friday morning that Flowers was the most streamed song in a seven-day period in the service’s history. In an interview with Variety, Spotify’s artist & label partnerships lead, Jana Coffey, said it was incredible to watch Flowers break the record for most streams in a single week. After its first day, the song was already off to a great start, and it’s only grown since then. Flowers is fiercely competing with SZA’s multiple-week riser “Kill Bill” for the top spot and to unseat Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero.”

The “Flowers” video may be the beginning of a global movement for Miley Cyrus. On Jan. 13, The Grammy-nominated singer released her new single “Flowers,” and fans immediately associated it with her former husband Liam Hemsworth since she released it on his 33rd birthday. Cyrus sings about a Malibu home that burned in the Woolsey fires in 2018, which does little to disprove this is about him. A direct response to Bruno Mars’s “When I Was Your Man” may also be the reason for the chorus’ self-empowering nature. Hemsworth is rumoured to have dedicated the song to Cyrus during their relationship. Twitter is having too much fun with this certified breakup anthem. The song has topped Spotify and Apple Music’s most streamed tracks for days and is vying to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. According to US Weekly, Cyrus’ godmother Dolly Parton is just so proud of her.

Miley Cyrus wrote to a user: I didn’t wanna leave you, I didn’t wanna lie, I started to cry, but then remembered I could buy myself flowers. Another user added Another day, another record Miley Cyrus broke. A third user wrote about the moment she realized she could buy herself flowers. As for the rest of the fans, they were just too busy celebrating the song’s upcoming success and praising Cyrus for her inspirational message of self-love.
