Let’s take a look at the rumors circulating the internet about the newly released Creed 3. For instance, why isn’t the cast of Rocky starring in Creed 3 and how much did the movie make?
Here is everything you need to know.
Why does Sylvester Stallone not appear in Creed 3 despite the movie’s connection with the Rocky franchise?
The director and star of Creed III, Michael B. Jordan sat down with Hot 97 for an interview. The clip was eventually released on YouTube.
Moreover, during the interview, he talked about Sylvester Stallone’s Stallone’s potential involvement in Creed III.
He said, ‘First of all, Sly and Rocky’s DNA is through this entire franchise. You can’t have these movies [without that]. That underdog spirit, I think, connects the underdog in all of us.’
Jordan explained, ‘I want Adonis to stand on his own two feet. In order to do that, we had to go into the past. What were those transformative years, those childhood traumas that shaped [Adonis] today?’
Moreover, he continued, ‘I think the room for this story was really about Adonis Creed moving forward with his family, and having him move forward. That’s kind of how we rolled out the story for this one.’
In addition, Stallone seemingly has a feud with the man who purchased the rights to Rocky Balboa in 1976, while he was still a struggling actor.
How much box office did Creed III rake in?
According to reports, Creed 3 has knocked out Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania this weekend with $58.7 million.
In addition, Michael B Jordan revealed that the recent film in the Creed franchise has earned the biggest domestic opening of all time for a sports movie.
Furthermore, the movie has surpassed 2015’s Creed ($29.6 million), and 2018’s Creed II ($35.6 million), along with all the Rocky movies. The record was previously held by 2010’s Karate Kid ($55.7 million).

Paul Dergarabedian, the senior media analyst at Comscore, shared, ‘For many franchises, the law of diminishing returns applies but ‘Creed’ is a welcome exception.’
Meanwhile, it is possible that Creed 4 is in the makings. However, no confirmed reports have been made yet.
Besides that, the next movie might stray more into uncharted waters and follow the next generation of Creed boxers. It might revolve around the boxing journey of Adonis, and Bianca’s daughter Amara. Hence, the film might delve into female boxing.
