Good wishes and felicitations have been on their way since the couple, Marques Houston and his wife Miya Dickey welcomed their first child. The proud father shared his happiness with the public and media in an interview. The couple has decided to name their child Zara.
When Marques was further asked about the reason he picked this name, he simply stated that they just wanted to come up with a different and unique name. He said that his wife found the name really exotic.
On being asked about how he felt upon entering parenthood he said that it still felt so magical. He was still processing that instead of babysitting one of his friend’s children he was taking care of his own daughter.

Many had raised speculations about whether Marques Houston dated Miya Dickey when she was of legal age.

In a group setting, they were introduced by a mutual friend, Chris Strokes at the District Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In 2020, it was reported that Marques Houston was engaged to Miya Dickey, who is 20 years younger than him. “Miya and I did not start until she was an adult. We fell in love and got engaged in March of 2019,” he said in response to the rumors.
He told the media that the people he is closest to are all in love with her, and most significantly, they have Jehovah’s blessing. They tied the knot in August of 2020. In June 2020, Marques Houston revealed Miya Dickey’s age via an Instagram post. Dickey was 19 years old when she wed him.
