Suspect identified as Ethan Crumbley-

High School student, Ethan Crumbley is in police custody right now. He has been charged as an adult with almost 11 crimes which include murder, terrorism, and attempted murder.

The parents of the accused teenager have also been summoned.

Officials have told that Ethan deliberately brought a loaded gun to a school that was filled with 1800 students. They have argued that he knew what he was doing and did it anyway.

Sheriff Mike Bouchard said, “There is nothing that he could have faced that would warrant senseless, absolutely brutal violence on other kids.” He also reported that at the time of arrest, Ethan Crumbley had 18 additional rounds of ammunition.

Reports suggest that he went to the school washroom with a backpack and returned with a handgun, open firing at people in the hallway.

Charges against his parents have also been levied since they didn’t keep the gun away from the teenager.

Talking of the terrorism charges, prosecutor Karen McDonald said, “What about all the children who ran, screaming, hiding under desks? Those are victims, too, and so are their families and so is the community”. She also argued that these incidents have happened a lot in the past few years and that the authorities should take strict measures so that they don’t happen again.

The incident has gained nationwide attention with many people mourning the death of innocent children. President Joe Biden has also addressed the issue of grieving for the victims and their families.
