During a recent podcast interview, Liam Payne, 28, expressed his actual emotions regarding former One Direction band mate Zayn Malik, 29. In a new interview on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive, the singer admitted to having “dislike” for the “Pillow Talk” singer. But also added that he’ll “always be on his side”. He and the host were discussing Zayn’s online dispute with Logan’s brother, Jake Paul, in 2020, and how Zayn’s then-girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, stood up for him by calling him “a respectful king” after Jake was labelled “irrelevant.”
“She tweeted something about get yourself a respectful man or something,” Liam Payne answered. That one didn’t hold up well over time.”
After he allegedly threw her mother, Yolanda Hadid, into a dresser and called her a “f**king Dutch slut” during an altercation, Liam said of Gigi’s tweet, hinting to her subsequent divorce from Zayn.
Zayn stated he “adamantly denies striking Yolanda” in a statement to ET at the time. He entered a not guilty plea to four counts of harassment. He was given 90 days of probation on each count, for a total of 360 days, as well as an anger management class and a domestic violence programme to complete.
