At the incident scene, the video seemed to show Ruck conversing on his cell phone. Several callers claimed a crash involving numerous automobiles shortly after 9 p.m. Tuesday, one of which crashed into a building in the 1600 block of La Brea Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson. The front end of the truck ploughed into the building that housed Raffallo’s Pizza near the junction of La Brea and Hollywood Boulevard, according to news footage from the site. According to authorities, actor Alan Ruck, renowned for his appearances in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “Succession,” was behind the steering wheel of a truck that crashed into a Hollywood pizza business on Halloween. The accident occurred around 9:25 p.m. A three-car collision led to Ruck’s Rivian pickup truck driving off the road and striking into the Raffallo’s Pizza establishment in the 1600 block of La Brea Avenue on Tuesday evening. Ruck, who played Cameron Frye in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” which contains one of the most famous car wrecks in film history, was apparently unharmed in the event. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, one person, a 32-year-old guy, was hospitalised following the incident with non-life-threatening injuries. Surveillance footage from the pizza shop shows Ruck’s truck rear-ending another automobile stalled at a stop sign, speeding through the intersection and striking another car halted at an adjacent stretch of the crossing before driving into the structure.

While the reason for the incident is still being investigated, Los Angeles Police Department detectives informed KCAL News that they don’t think drugs or alcohol played a role. Restaurant owners displayed the aftermath of the horrific crash, with debris filling the floor at the back of the building where their facilities are located. “The good news is that nobody was inside the loo,” stated Raffallo’s owner Walter Rosales. “It was extremely difficult last night, all those weeping individuals
because they knew of us, they have known us for a long time, and they have cried and given thanks to God since we were alive.” SkyCal flew overhead minutes after the crash, seeing Ruck’s truck with significant front-end damage as well as a gaping hole in the building’s side. The restaurant was yellow-tagged by Los Angeles Department of Building & Safety officers who were dispatched to the scene to check the structure’s integrity.
