K-Pop Legendary singer PSY To Make a Comeback After 5 Years with New Album

The K-pop legend became an overnight sensation with his energetic single Gangnam Style back in 2012. One could say that the iconic song was the world’s first encounter with K-pop. Nevertheless, it seems like the artist of Gangnam Style is ready to mark his return with another hit release.
PSY released his eighth album 4X2=8 in May 2017 which was also assumed to be his last. Thereafter he was seen working as an entrepreneur and signing new artists for his talent company, P Nation. He also debuted new K-pop groups and featured on songs with other musicians. The icon is going to release a new full-length album, Psy 9th on 29th April at 6 pm KST.
PSY to release an album in five years
The DADDY creator will soon be returning with a brand new album, Psy 9th. The producer gained worldwide recognition after his humorous single Gangnam Style became largely popular among the audience.
The artist confirmed his return by sharing it with the world on his official social media handles. He teased the fans with a clip from his 2013 concert. In the video, we can hear him saying that he might release another phenomenon hit in 2022.
The singer-producer captioned the video by adding that he composed Champion in 2002 and it took him another decade to create a song like Gangnam Style.
The viral song crossed two billion views in 2014 and is currently the eleventh most viewed video on YouTube. Even after eight years the song is still loved by fans and has garnered more than 4 billion views.
PSY was working under YG Entertainment when he released Gangnam Style. He left the label in 2018. The following year he founded his talent company and named it P Nation.
Initially, Jessi, HyunA, and DAWN joined P Nation. Later the company welcomed famous Korean singers like Crush and Heize among many others.
Fans’ Reactions To Psy Comeback and Psy 9th
Though the fans are already in love with K-Pop bands, they are flowing with excitement over the news of Psy’s comeback. The fans are anticipating the release of Psy’s ninth album which is only a few weeks away.
Fans took to their social media accounts to express their emotions and said that they have high expectations from the upcoming album. A bunch of fans has even titled him The King of K-pop.
