Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright Consider ‘Dating Other People’ Amid Separation

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are navigating the turbulent waters of separation while trying to find ways to salvage their marriage. The couple, well-known from the reality TV show “Vanderpump Rules,” is exploring various options, including the possibility of dating other people, before making any decisions about divorce.
In a recent episode of their podcast “When Reality Hits,” Taylor, 44, addressed the rumors swirling around his dating life amid his separation from Cartwright. “I am not — I repeat not — dating anybody. I was seen out with someone, and it was strictly lunch. Obviously, Brittany and I are separated and have been for a long time. What we are going through right now is tough. Marriage is not easy,” Taylor clarified.
Taylor explained that they are exploring multiple avenues, including therapy and spending time apart, to understand their feelings better and to see if their marriage can be saved. “We are trying to figure out a lot of different things: therapy, separation, and maybe, possibly, dating other people,” he continued. “We are trying to exhaust everything before we have to go down the divorce road — if that would be the case.”
Taylor emphasized that exploring relationships with other people is part of their process of taking time apart. He stated that this approach might help them decide the future of their marriage. “All marriages are different, but this is what is good for our marriage. This is something we talked about and we are on the same page. We have a couple of rules with it, but this is what we are exploring,” he clarified.
Despite their separation, Taylor and Cartwright, 35, are united in their commitment to their son, Cruz, who recently turned three. “The most important thing to us is our son,” Taylor said, underscoring their shared priority.
Amidst these discussions, Taylor also addressed recent rumors linking him to model Paige Woolen after being spotted having lunch with her at Granville cafe in Los Angeles. “I am not dating anyone and I wish you all knew the full story of this situation. It’s not what you think,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Furthermore, Taylor was also seen with an unidentified woman at The Oaks Tavern in Sherman Oaks, California, last week. While he has not publicly addressed this encounter, Taylor suggested on the podcast that any current relationships are casual. “I’m not dating anybody nor do I plan on dating anybody. I don’t know if I am ready to start the dating thing again. I don’t think I am. We are just hanging out right now with whoever,” he said.
