Janet Jackson loses audio mid-concert at Essence Festival
Janet Jackson was one of the major headliners in the weekend series at the Essence Festival of Culture at the Caesars Superdome held in New Orleans.
Several big names performed at the concert which can be even compared to Coachella.
According to the official site of Nola, Jackson nearly sold out the venue, which had 48,500 available tickets for Saturday.
However, the Grammy-winning artist faced a brief technical glitch during her outing. Her mic seemed to suddenly cut out while she was in the middle of her performance on Sunday night.
Regardless, the 56-year-old singer managed the situation well and it went unnoticed by the concertgoers. The star continued to perform with her hourlong-plus set following the little hiccup.
On the stage, Jackson was flanked by four male dancers as she started her performance with the track Feedback. She included her classic tracks like What Have You Done For Me Lately, Control, Nasty and That’s The Way Love Goes.

Other technical glitches at the Festival
It is important to note that several performers faced sound issues at the festival for the past couple of days.
Few concert-goers complained about Halle and Chloe Bailey’s performance claiming their audio levels were off.
Furthermore, TMZ reported that the Essence Festival also recently came under fire. Hulu subscribers were upset as they alleged the network did not live-streamed all the songs from the event.
Nicki Minaj performed as the headliner for the Friday series however her set was not broadcast on Hulu.
Angela Yee, the host for Friday night, mentioned that in the height of ‘circumstances beyond our control’ the rapper’s act was not live-streamed on Hulu for the audiences at home.
Mid performance, Nicki thanks everyone & mentions how there were technical difficulties but she still came out for the fans. #ESSENCEFest
