Following the death of Virgil Abloh, Drake paid tribute to him the very next day of his death through an Instagram post . With a brief clip from Air Drake as the makeover was done by Virgil Abloh himself.
The Instagram post by tattoo artist read ‘A remembrance of the great Virgil Abloh done on Drake’. He tagged Instagram accounts of Drake, Late Virgil Abloh, Corporate account of Louis Vuitton, and Off-White, whose artistic director was Abloh.
The Tattoo depicted a man flying a paper airplane from the backside along with his shadow on the ground.
Who Was Virgil Abloh?
Abloh met his death on November 28, fighting against cancer at the age of 41. His death had shocked many people from the fashion and music industry. Virgil kept his illness private from the media.
Many well-known artists have paid tribute to Virgil Abloh on social media, a few of them were Idris Elba, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, BTS, etc.
Elba honored him with Fashion Awards 2021 in London a day after Virgil’s death.
