Virgil Ablohs, a globally famous fashion designer and entrepreneur passed away on 28 November 2021 and left the world in shock. The family announced about the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s death on Instagram and stated that they feel devastated to announce the passing of their beloved Virgil Abloh. They stated that he was a fiercely devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. What Was The Cause Of Death?

Virgil Abloh was the first African-American at the post of artistic director at a French Luxury Fashion House. He was also ranked as one of the most influential people in the world in 2018. The globally renowned fashion designer passed away on Sunday due to a rare form of cancer called cardiac angiosarcoma. He decided to keep this diagnosis private. The founder of a fashion house Off-White was battling the disease since 2019 and had numerous treatments.

The threat to his life that he knew never dampened his spirit. He created high-end fashion designs and his classic Mercedes Benz G-Class racer is one of the works that is spreading over social media after his death. Virgil lived with his wife, Shannon Sundberg, and two children Lowe and Grey in Chicago. In his family, there are his parents Nee and Eunice with his sister Edwina.

Virgil Abloh’s G-Wagon Design Goes Viral

Abloh worked as artistic director at Louis Vuitton Menswear Collection from 2018 till the present year. But, he collaborated with Mercedes in the year 2020 and took a break from fashion designing. He designed his version of Famous G-Class and unveiled Project Gelandewagen in September last year. This design is getting viral on social platforms that look similar to a cartoon!

The design of Virgil Abloh’s G-Class is silver-colored, with no sides mirrors and door handles. It has a metal grate for windows instead of headlight there are crosses. The inside design of the car gives a feel of a racer car as there is a race-car-like steering wheel. The car design is a conceptual piece of art that is not for sale or driving purposes. This collaboration is directed to envision- The future of luxury. Virgil stated for this art piece that the basic idea was to question and to develop a twist on reality and speed to have such a car that is luxurious but in a deconstructed way.
