Authorities have not yet verified that the items they found belong to Petito, but her family has indeed been informed.

According to what we believe, in or around Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park. We, the Laundrie family, really pray that perhaps the hunt for Miss Petito is fruitful. And also that Miss Petito and her family are reconnected. The Laundrie family has been advised by lawyers to keep silent at this time and will not make any additional statements

The head of the Moab Police Department acknowledged that his officers met Petito and Laundrie on August 12.

Petito’s fiancée Brian Laundrie went missing on September 17, according to his lawyer.
In North Port, Florida, officers visited the house of Laundrie’s relatives on Friday. After demonstrators assembled in front of the property’s gate. Steven Bertolino issued this remark:
Remember that Brian Laundrie’s whereabouts are still not in our knowledge. The FBI is already taking belongings from the Laundrie house to aid in the search for Brian.
