Gabby Petito Missing Update: Body believed to be Gabby’s, found in Wyoming

The FBI revealed on Sunday that they had discovered a corpse in Wyoming while looking for missing 22-year-old Gabby Petito. Investigation in Grand Teton National Park’s Spread Creek Scattered Camping Area was on Sunday. Agents from the FBI Denver’s supervising general residency division claimed they uncovered human remains.

However, at moment, the autopsy report is under investigation. Authorities held a news conference on Sunday evening. Making people aware that an examination is underway in the vicinity and asking people to stay clear. Authorities have not yet verified that the items they found belong to Petito, but her family has indeed been informed.

Gabby Petito Case History

Gabrielle “Gabby” Petito was reportedly in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park, last. According to Petito’s parents, her mo ther, Nichole Schmidt, sent her child one final text message on August 30th.


When Gabby Petito’s parents couldn’t reach her after many tries to contact her on September 11. They filed a missing person complaint with the police. Petito’s father share online that his daughter had only been last in cameras leaving Salt Lake City to go to Wyoming.

On the first of September, Brian traveled to Florida, 10 days before Petito’s parents notified her of missing. In the end, he opted to retain the services of a lawyer rather than discuss the incident with the media. A white vehicle use by the couple has been discovering in the Florida city of North Port, according to police. Petito, a native New Yorker, resided in North Port with Laundrie and his family before moving to the city.

On September 14, Steven Bertolino, an attorney in New York who represents Laundrie’s family, provided a comprehensive statement to 2News:

Both the Petito and the Laundrie families must be going through a very challenging period right now. A hunt has been launched for Miss Petito. According to what we believe, in or around Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park. We, the Laundrie family, really pray that perhaps the hunt for Miss Petito is fruitful. And also that Miss Petito and her family are reconnected. The Laundrie family has been advised by lawyers to keep silent at this time and will not make any additional statements

The head of the Moab Police Department acknowledged that his officers met Petito and Laundrie on August 12. 

Authorities in Moab called the situation a “mental health crisis.” It occurred in Moab. According to an inspector, Petito admitted to him and that day that she and Brian had already been arguing. And that she has been “clearly struggling with her mental wellbeing.


An eyewitness saw a man and a woman, subsequently identified as Brian Laundrie and Gabrielle Petito, fighting over the phone.  After he got inside the vehicle, this witness claimed to have seen Gabrielle punching Brian in the arm. And afterward climbing through the window of the car. It looked as if Brian had locked her outside and that she was attempting to get in. Following locking her out of the vehicle, Laundrie alleged her nails and rings had left him battered and bruised.

Petito’s fiancée Brian Laundrie went missing on September 17, according to his lawyer.

In North Port, Florida, officers visited the house of Laundrie’s relatives on Friday. After demonstrators assembled in front of the property’s gate. Steven Bertolino issued this remark:

Remember that Brian Laundrie’s whereabouts are still not in our knowledge. The FBI is already taking belongings from the Laundrie house to aid in the search for Brian.

After his parents report him missing, Laundrie’s counsel state the 23-year-old was with them in the early morning.
