Selena Gomez expresses that she was ‘ashamed’ of working on an album cover
Selena Gomez recently sat down for The Hollywood Reporter’s comedy actress roundtable. She was joined by Amy Schumer, Bridget Everett, Molly Shannon, Quinta Brunson, and Tracee Ellis Ross.
The video clip was uploaded on the official YouTube page of The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday.
During the conversation, Schumer asked the musician about being sexualized at an early age when she suddenly rose to prominence after performing in Disney shows.
The Good For You hitmaker responded with, ‘I actually did an album cover and I was really ashamed after I did it.’
She added, ‘I had to work through those feelings because I realized it was attached to something deeper that was going on. And it was a choice that I wasn’t necessarily happy that I made.’
The artist continued that while she is not an ‘overly sexual person’ there were times when she would ‘like to feel sexy’.
Although the 29-year-old producer did not reveal the album’s name, fans suspect that she was referring to the cover art of her 2015 record, Revival.
