Elon Musk got involved in another controversy after it was reported that he has an extramarital affair with Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s wife, Nicole Shanahan.
Regardless, the billionaire took to Twitter to respond to a post in the Wall Street Journal recounting the sordid tale.
The 51-year-old Space X CEO said, ‘This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic.’
He promptly responded in a follow-up tweet alleging, ‘Haven’t even had sex in ages (sigh).’
Musk’s replies come after reports claimed that he knelt in front of Brin and begged for his forgiveness at a party earlier this year after the Google founder learned of the Tesla founder’s affair with his wife.

Furthermore, the article also prompted Brin to file for divorce and ended his long-term friendship with Musk because of the incident.
Not only that, but Brin also told his advisers to liquidate his shares in Musk’s business
However, Musk said in a separate tweet, ‘WSJ [Wall Street Journal] has run so many bs hit pieces on me and Tesla I’ve lost count.
It’s embarrassing for them, frankly.’
He further slammed the outlet and urged his followers to do the same.
Musk wrote, ‘WSJ is supposed to have a high standard for journalism and, right now, they are way sub tabloid. WSJ should be running stories that actually matter to their readers and have a solid factual basis, not third-party random hearsay.’
Sergey Brin filed for divorce
According to The Wall Street Journal, Elon Musk was involved in a brief fling with lawyer Nicole Shanahan at Art Basel in Miami last year in December.
The media outlet further alleged that soon after the multi-star event Sergey Brin filed for divorce in January.
Brin listed ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the divorce, however, The Wall Street Journal says otherwise.
The article also mentioned that Brin and Shanahan were facing some marital problems in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was reported that the former couple used to constantly argue over the custody of their four-year-old daughter.
