Rage Against the Machine’s guitarist Tom Morello was accidentally tackled by security guards during the band’s concert in Toronto on Saturday night.

Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello tackled by security

Rage Against the Machine was performing their final track Killing in the Name for their audience in Toronto when suddenly a fan sporting a red shirt sprinted toward the front of the stage.

However, before he could leap at the crowd, he was blocked by the venue’s security guards. 

Furthermore, the security not only foiled the stage crasher’s jump but also accidentally ran into Tom Morello, who was playing guitar on the stage.

According to the videos online, the 58-year-old guitarist also partially fall off the stage when the guard made contact with him.

The band’s frontman Zack de la Rocha also abruptly stopped performing as soon as he saw Morello tumbling into the pit.

He repeatedly shouted, ‘hold up, hold up, hold up’ when the music came to a stop. The vocalist has been confined to a wheelchair ever since he injured his leg in one of his earlier performances on the reunion tour.

Moreover, Morello was helped to his feet and returned to the stage where the band continued to perform with a roaring crowd.

Fans react to Tom Morello’s mishap

Fans took to Twitter after the videos of Tom Morello’s mishap started surfacing on the internet.

A user said, ‘Like true rock stars #RATM didn’t let that stop the show though.  What an amazing concert.’

Another praised, ‘Make this a feature of every show.’

Furthermore, one user wrote, ‘Rage alongside the machine’ while another chimed in saying, ‘I would’ve paid to see that!’

A different fan asserted, ‘I hope he had his vaxx passport on him.’

Someone claimed, ‘The security guard must have been sick of his commie bs.’

An individual suggested, ‘Since they are Rage for the machine by now I can understand.’

Meanwhile, another quipped, ‘He got tackled by a Springsteen fan outraged at ticket prices.’

Morello’s incident is not the first one. The news comes just after security shoved off a fan who was trying to approach Lil Baby during his concert. 

Roddy Ricch also got into an altercation with a fan after he repeatedly attempted to pull the rapper’s leg during his recent performance.

Meanwhile, Cardi B also got into a tussle with a fan after they tried to grab the Bodak Yellow artist’s mic at the Wireless Festival.
