Kevin Feige teases Harry Styles return as Eros in MCU

Singer Harry Styles might be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon.

Harry Styles returns as Eros in MCU

MCU 2021 film Eternals had one of the wildest reveals when Harry Styles appeared as the character Eros also known as Starfox in the movie’s post-credits scene.

Eternals also starred Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, and Angelina Jolie.

One of the most interesting facts about the Watermelon Sugar artist’s character is that he is the brother of supervillain Thanos. In the brief clip, he is joined by a small, furry CGI character named Pip The Troll (voiced by Patton Oswalt).

Josh Horowitz for MTV New asked Kevin Feige about the former One Direction star’s future in the Marvel universe during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

He teased, ‘The adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting for us.’

The 49-year-old producer further revealed, ‘You’re talking about Ghost Rider, we’ve got Blade, we’ve got Doctor Strange with the supernatural angles, we’ve got the street level with our announcement of Daredevil and of course, Spider-Man, and cosmic, and that’s where our friends Eros and Pip live.’

Styles made his acting debut with Christopher Nolan’s 2017 war film Dunkirk. He will soon appear as the main protagonist in Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry, Darling which is scheduled to hit the theatres this year on 23rd September.

The As it Was singer will also star in Michael Grandage’s upcoming drama My Policeman alongside Emma Corrin. Meanwhile, Styles is currently busy with Love on Tour. 

Meanwhile, Eternals director Chloé Zhao has previously confirmed that Styles was the only actor she wanted to play as Eros.

Upcoming projects coming in MCU Phase 5 and Phase 6

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige returned to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and announced a dozen of new upcoming projects they have in store for us. Phase 5 and Phase 6 of Marvel will pick up after post-Infinity Saga.

The upcoming series She-Hulk and film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be concluding Phase 4 of MCU. 

The projects included in Phase 5 are:
