Moreover, the documents mention that Holmes must show her cooperation in the collection of DNA.

In addition, Holmes should submit herself willingly to search along with her residence, office, vehicle, and all her property if her probation officer reasonably suspects that she is breaking the conditions of her release.

For the unversed, Holmes is facing a prison sentence of more than 11 years as well as 3 years of supervised release. She is scheduled to report to the prison in late April 2023.

More about Elizabeth Holmes

Elizabeth Holmes dropped out of Stanford University at the age of 19 and around the same time she founded Theranos.

Additionally, the startup was estimated to value at around $9 billion when it was at its peak. Holmes on the other hand made false claims that her company’s technology is able to conduct a full range of tests by only using a few drops of blood.

However, a series of exposé by the Wall Street Journal led the company to face federal charges. This ultimately led to the demise of Theranos in 2018.

Meanwhile, Holmes was found guilty of four out of the eleven charges she was facing in her fraud trial. While one was for conspiring to execute wire fraud, the other three counts were of wire fraud.

Besides that, the prosecutors claim that Holmes alongside her partner Ramesh ‘Sunny’ Balwani used the startup to defraud investors and patients who paid for unreliable Theranos tests.

However, after their joint indictment in 2018, both their trials were severed when Holmes accused Balwani of abuse.

Furthermore, she alleged that Balwani was a physically and mentally abusive romantic partner. She added that her decisions got affected due to Balwani’s controlling demands behind the scenes.
