Doja Cat announces ‘no more pop’
Doja Cat took to her official Twitter account on Saturday to confirm that she is presently focusing on her rapping skills.
Moreover, the So High singer shared that for her upcoming album, she will put less emphasis on pop and give more attention to rap.
She wrote, ‘No more pop.’
In a follow-up tweet, she penned, ‘I also agree with everyone who said the majority of my rap verses are mid and corny. I know they are. I wasn’t trying to prove anything.’
She continued, ‘I just enjoy making music but I’m getting tired of hearing yall say that I can’t so I will.’
If you didn’t know, Doja Cat is gearing up for her fourth studio album Hellmouth which will be released through Kemosabe and RCA Records.

However, no release date has been confirmed as of yet. But according to reports, the album will feature tons of rapping.
Additionally, she vaguely shared details about her forthcoming project during a recent interview with Variety.
She mentioned, ‘I know that I’ve done a lot of pink and soft things, a lot of pop and glittery sounds.’
She continued, ‘But for this next era, I’m going in a more masculine direction.’
Meanwhile, according to her interview with CR Fashion Book in 2022, Doja Cat’s new album will most likely give us a glimpse into the 90s German rave vibe.
The Los Angeles native dropped her debut album Amala, in 2018 and her second album Hot Pink in the following year. She released Planet Her in 2021.
