After The Met Gala 2022, a clip of Billie Eilish and Cardi B went viral implying that there might be some bad blood between the stars. Cardi B however set the record straight as she addressed the rumors.

After the Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, both artists were spotted at the afterparty.

The rumors started sparking during the gala’s afterparty held at The Standard Hotel, NYC. 

In the clip, Cardi B made a lively speech and told the crowd, ‘Tonight we’re gonna have fun, make sure you all get drinks, make sure you all get little…’ she stopped speaking and suggestively motioned to her nose. She kicked off the star-studded party by greeting attendees.

Moreover, an out-of-context video surfaced on the internet which showed Billie Eilish mouthing the sentence ‘she’s so weird.

The internet exploded after the video was released. They are presuming that Billie was mocking the outspoken rapper with her statement.

Cardi B and Billie Eilish set the record straight

Hours later after the party Cardi B and Billie Eilish talked about the questionable video through voice messages on Instagram.

In one of the audio clips, the ‘Ocean Eyes’ singer explained what was happening in the viral clip and what was meant by the statement.

Billie said in the voice memo, ‘Oh my God, I was so worried that you were going to see that. I was f*****g calling the people around you ‘weird’ because everybody was coming up to you and shoving their phones into your a**. And I was like, ‘Just look at her with your eyes.’’

The Grammy-winning rapper responded to Billie saying, ‘The internet is trying to divide us. They don’t understand you’re my baby.’

Cardi B further took to her official Twitter handle to share the voice exchange between them to the fans to set the record starting once and for all.

The 29-year-old rapper outlined the post with a caption asking, how does the internet turn one of the most fired-up parties into drama?

The Bodak Yellow singer stated that she caters to Billie’s song Ocean Eyes to her daughter. She later called Billie her baby.

She further went on saying, ‘Yesterday, from the Met to the party, everything was drama-free. Why do you all wanna turn everything into a mess?’
