Astroworld Incident: Victims Filed $750 Million Lawsuit Against Travis Scott and Drake & More
3 min readIn the aftermath of the horrific Astroworld disaster, which claimed the lives of at least ten people and injured hundreds more. Over 125 Travis Scott supporters have filed a $750 million lawsuit against him. The Astroworld disaster occurred earlier this month. On behalf of fans and the family of Axel Acosta, Houston attorney Tony Buzbee has filed documents against the two rappers. And their Apple and Live Nation supervisors. Axel Acosta was allegedly crushed by a “incited, rowdy, and out-of-control mob” with such force that he was unable to breathe. He previously represented at least 35 concertgoers. Charging Scott and the festival’s organisers of “gross negligence” for the November 5 show’s congestion.
What Are The Accusations Made In This Suit About?

Plaintiffs accuse Travis and the concert organisers of negligence for failing to properly prepare the concert, train security personnel, and hold a safe event, according to the lawsuit.
During a crowd crush during the event, ten people were killed, including a nine-year-old kid.
For their roles in the festival, Buzbee has identified Epic Records, Drake, Live Nation, and Apple as defendants in the lawsuit. Buzbee may bring a new lawsuit with over 100 plaintiffs in the next days, according to reports. Axel Acosta, a 21-year-old victim who died at the event, is one of the individuals Buzbee is representing. “No amount of money can make these Plaintiffs whole; no amount of money can restore human life,” Buzbee argues. However, the damages claimed in this lawsuit attempt to correct, help. Or compensate these Plaintiffs for the harms and losses they have suffered – nothing more and nothing less.”
There have been allegations levelled at Scott. And the concert organisers that not enough safety precautions were taken to protect the guests. Scott was seen halting for a moment during the show when the crowds began to swell. But he later resumed his performance.
What Happened In The Astroworld?
The Astroworld event was scheduled to take place on two days, November 5 and 6, but the concert on the second day was cancelled due to the terrible tragedy. Rudy Pena, a young aspiring American football player, was among those killed. At least 17 people were transported to the hospital after the concert, with 11 of them suffering from cardiac arrest.
Kardashian’s Reaction To This?
Kim Kardashian recently spoke out about the Astroworld tragedy. Noting that Scott and Kim’s sister Kylie Jenner are both devastated by the occurrence. Kayne West, Kim’s estranged husband, had also dedicated his Sunday service to pay tribute to those who died in the disaster. Meanwhile, there are rumours that the iconic W Magazine has been working hard to get its next issue off the stores. Which shows Kylie Jenner and Scott on the cover page, ever since the incident.
