Mayers detained in connection with a gunshot in Hollywood last November, according to an LAPD source. The Los Angeles Police Department will now bring the matter to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of pressing charges. Mayers has had a number of run-ins with the law throughout the years. He was detained in New York City in 2012 following a street altercation with photographers (he later pled guilty to attempted grand larceny), and he was charged in 2013 after reportedly slapping a fan at the Made in America Festival (while the case was dismissed, the victim later filed a civil suit against Mayers that was settled in 2015).
