Adin Ross, a popular Twitch streamer and content creator, has been banned from the platform. In a now-deleted post, the streamer informed his followers that he had been banned from Twitch ‘indefinitely.’

While the actual cause for the restriction and its duration are unknown, Ross has claimed that the prohibition is indefinite for the time being.

Who is Adin Ross?

Adin Ross is one of Twitch’s most popular broadcasters, with over four million followers and collaborations with dozens of other streamers. The celebrity is well-known for his FIFA and NBA 2K material, as well as the community he has built over the last two years.

Ross’ Twitch channel was made inaccessible on April 20. Ross has been banned from the platform five times since he began his career nearly a decade ago, for reasons ranging from copyright violation to on-stream reckless driving.

Adin Ross stated in a now-deleted Twitter post, “I got banned on Twitch, indefinitely,” before adding, “I am not sure what I said though?” What did I do? I’m not sure. Was it a live stream or a VOD? “I’m not sure, man.”

Why has Twitch banned Adin Ross?

Twitch’s suspension is based on ‘hateful slurs or symbols,’ according to the statement.

“Using offensive slurs, hate symbols, or hate group emblems without context is in a detrimental manner,” the platform explains.

Twitch has provided several examples of illegal behaviour.

While the cause for Adin Ross’ suspension is unknown, many fans and detractors have linked the streamer’s suspension to a recent video that leaked showing him off the air. Ross was caught using a homophobic slur against another player on close buddy YourRage’s show, causing uproar across Twitch.

Yourrage’s Stream: What happened?

The cause for Adin’s suspension is unknown, but many fans believe it is related to an incident that occurred on YourRAGE’s Twitch feed in early April.

Someone who sounded like Adin, according to one admirer, uttered a homophobic slur over an audio call. However, we must emphasize that there is no definitive confirmation that the voice in the clip belongs to the streamer.

RAGE also denied that it was Adin on the phone, claiming that it was a “high school acquaintance.”

In another tweet, RAGE claimed that Adin had been permanently banned, but the streamer has yet to confirm this.

Adin was previously banned from Twitch for reasons such as driving while viewing Twitch chat.
