Ariana Madix Contemplates Return to ‘Vanderpump Rules’ for Season 12 After Scandoval Drama
Ariana Madix, a familiar face on “Vanderpump Rules,” has cast uncertainty on her return for Season 12 of the reality series. Amidst the drama-filled Season 11, marked by the fallout from “Scandoval” and her breakup with ex Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, 38, expressed that her participation in the upcoming season would depend on certain factors aligning.
Speaking while promoting her latest book, “Single AF Cocktails,” at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, Ariana Madix emphasized the importance of authenticity in the show’s narrative. She stated, “Our show has always thrived, it’s always at its best when it is at its most authentic and its most real, and I have to be able to show up and be real and be authentic in order for it to make sense for me.”
Madix’s relationship with Sandoval ended after nearly a decade together due to revelations of his affair with their mutual friend and castmate Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. Upon her return to filming the current season, Madix refused to participate in scenes with Sandoval.

Although Shay expressed hope for reconciliation, Madix’s recent stint as Roxie Hart in “Chicago” on Broadway added distance to their relationship. Shay and her husband Brock Davies attended Madix’s final “Chicago” performance, with Shay noting that while interactions were limited, they maintained cordiality.
Reflecting on the tension between them, Shay mentioned that the Season 11 reunion didn’t necessarily improve their relationship. However, she remains optimistic about the future, suggesting that their circumstances have made it challenging for them to grow closer.
