Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Open Up About Their Relationship and Future Plans

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, former co-anchors of “Good Morning America 3,” have opened up about their relationship and the possibility of marriage on their podcast, “Amy & T.J.” During a recent episode, the couple shared their thoughts on commitment, marriage, and their future together.

Amy Robach, 51, and T.J. Holmes, 46, revealed that they are currently discussing the idea of marriage but haven’t made a final decision. While they have agreed to commit to each other mentally and emotionally, they are still figuring out the specifics of their relationship.

“We’re still deciding about what that level of commitment is … whether it’s legal or not … but mentally, emotionally, we’ve absolutely agreed to commit to one another,” Robach explained.

“We haven’t decided whether or not we are going to officially get married,” Holmes added.

Amy Robach expressed her desire to find a “life partner” in Holmes and cited examples like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, who have been together for decades without being legally married, as inspirations for successful long-term relationships.

“I’ve always been in awe of the fact that every day they wake up and they choose to be together, there’s no legal binding document that says they have to be together,” Robach said.

While Robach sees the possibility of marriage with Holmes, she also acknowledged that tying the knot can sometimes provide a “false security blanket.” However, she admitted that the idea of being able to refer to Holmes as her husband feels more official and real to her.

The couple’s immediate focus is on moving in together before considering marriage. They emphasized that their relationship dynamic, which includes working together and spending extensive time with each other, would remain unchanged even after moving in together.

“We’re so used to constantly being around each other. That would not change anything,” Robach said.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have been together since November 2022, when their romance was publicly revealed, leading to their departure from “GMA3.” Both had been previously married, with Robach to Andrew Shue and Holmes to Marilee Fiebig. However, they filed for divorce from their respective spouses in December 2022.

Despite the challenges they faced due to their past relationships, Robach and T.J. Holmes have found happiness together and are considering taking the next steps in their relationship, including the possibility of marriage.
