In a recent legal filing, Angelina Jolie’s legal team made startling revelations in an effort to release communications that would demonstrate Pitt’s alleged attempts to prevent her from selling her share of their Chateau Miraval French winery by imposing an “onerous” and “expansive” non-disclosure agreement (NDA). The documents claim that Pitt’s history of physical abuse towards Jolie started well before the 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles and that the incident on the flight marked the first time he turned his physical abuse towards their children, prompting Jolie to leave him immediately.

The filing alleges that Pitt proposed an NDA that would cover his “personal misconduct, whether related to Miraval or not,” in an effort to silence Jolie from speaking about his alleged abuse. Furthermore, it is claimed that Pitt wanted Jolie to sign the NDA after discovering sealed filings submitted by her in 2021, which contained evidence to help settle their child custody dispute. Pitt reportedly refused to purchase Angelina Jolie’s shares of the winery unless she agreed to the NDA, but ultimately backed out of the deal fearing that the sealed documents could become public.

In response to these allegations, Angelina Jolie’s at torney, Paul Murphy, stated that Pitt’s refusal to purchase her shares and subsequent lawsuit against her put into question why the NDA was so important to him and what he hoped it would conceal: his alleged abuse of Jolie and their family.

A source familiar with Pitt’s side of the story dismissed Jolie’s claims, characterizing them as attempts to distract from legal setbacks by offering irrelevant or inaccurate information. This source asserted that there is nothing new in Angelina Jolie’s allegations and that she has a pattern of introducing such claims whenever she faces legal losses.
