The Swedish supergroup ABBA’s guitarist Lasse Wellander has passed away recently and fans are mourning the demise of the artist. Although ABBA has been an old supergroup known among all. With the demise of its guitarist at the age of 70. Everyone is curious to know which group members of it are still alive.

ABBA is a Swedish supergroup that was formed back in the year 1972 in Stockholm. The group was formed by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Anderson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The amazing fact about the supergroup is that the name of the group is in palindrome with the first letter of the band members’ name.

The group has been active for a long with reunions in a mid way as well. Not just the four members of ABBA, other members have played an important role including Roger Palm, Rutger Gunnarsson, Lasse Wellander, and many others.
Lasse Wellander passed away at the age of 70
Lasse Wellander too had an important role to play in the supergroup ABBA. He was associated with the group as their guitarist. He was active for a long in the group. However, sad news about him broke out recently reporting that Lasse is no more.
The news about his demise came via his official Facebook page. Over which fans are left heartbroken. Band members of ABBA have however paid their heartfelt tribute to the late guitarist. Lasse has been suffering from cancer and was 70 years old when he died on 7th April.
Who are the other ABBA members alive?
Although Lasse Wellander has passed away from the supergroup ABBA. There are still many of the band members who are alive. The main four members of ABBA are still alive in 2023 and are behind the formation of the supergroup. Though some of them may have been keeping themselves away from the limelight.
Despite the marriage of Agnetha with Björn lasting till 1980 and later she married Thoms Sonnenfield. The second marriage of her too lasted till 1993. Meanwhile, Benny and Anni to were married and worked together for a long. Yet, Anni went to separate from Benny and married Prince Henrich Ruzzo who later died.
Bjõrn too married for a second time to Lena Källersjö. But they announced their plans for divorce last year.
