It featured performances from Kesha and Beyoncé, stage lighting reminiscent of a Hollywood awards ceremony, and dances similar to Sam Smith’s Unholy. Transformation Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma has been led by Natalie and Mike Todd since February 2015. After running saliva on a churchgoer during a service last year, the latter made headlines. As a result of its modern beliefs and way of praying, the chapel has gained immense traction online. One can watch exciting performances and intricate dance routines during Transformation Church’s Easter service titled Ransom this year. The lyrics of Beyoncé’s song Diva were drastically changed in one of their performances. Based on Beyoncé’s iconic song Formation, Ransom performers sang- ok demons, let’s get in formation. In another segment of the concert, a singer was seen wearing MSCHF Big Red Boots and singing- I got my money, everybody mad.
There was also a skit in which three performers discussed their derrieres, with one of them mentioning that your booty matters as well. Kesha’s song Die Young was also performed by dancers during the church service. Viral performances on Twitter and TikTok greatly disturbed internet users. Many people couldn’t believe that a church would organize such an extravagant and modern concert. Several people commented that it was “blasphemous.” Todd announced on his social media account that they would stream the livestream for one session only before deleting it online. Nick Jones, a YouTuber, suggested that the church was not posting the video online because they may be liable for copyright violations. Meanwhile, he suggested that perhaps the church has something to hide from the public. The official website of Mike Todd states that his philosophy is to represent God to the lost and hope to transform them through the power of Christ.

The issue is ppl thinking church is meant to be entertaining. It’s not. It should be a serious form of worship, devotion, and personal inquiry into God and his plans for the individual/family. I would say to each his own, but I’ll just say I’m glad judgement isn’t my job
