Richard Meulenberg, Captain of the Tulsa Police Department, told CNN that the shooter was already dead when the officers worked their way inside the institution.

Regardless, the identity of the suspect remains unclear as of now.

According to Meulenberg, a ‘semiautomatic rifle’ and a ‘semiautomatic pistol’ were found next to him which are supposedly the firearms he was carrying.

Furthermore, the shooter used both weapons to shoot before he turned the gun on himself.

Cops suspect that the unidirectional suspect died because of fatal self-inflicted wounds.

The police captain said, ‘It was just madness inside, with hundreds of rooms and hundreds of people trying to get out of the building.’

Meulenberg mentioned to CNN that the investigators are working to figure out the shooter’s motive to launch a deadly assault.

He further added, ‘(The suspect) very purposefully went to this location, went to a very specific floor, and shot with a very specific purpose. This was not a random shooting by this individual.’
