And we all actually need one another more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening.”

Pinkett-Smith was also quick to redirect attention away from The Oscars slap and back to the topic that provoked it:

“This is a critical Red Table Talk about alopecia. Thousands have reached out to me with their tales in response to what I’ve been through with my health and what happened at the Oscars. I’m taking advantage of this opportunity to speak with our alopecia family about what it’s like to live with this condition and to educate folks about what alopecia is.”

Pinkett was also quick to divert the focus away from The Oscars slap and back to the issue that provoked it in the first place:

Thousands have reached out to me with their experiences in response to what I’ve been through with my own health and what happened at the Oscars. I’m taking advantage of this opportunity to speak with our alopecia family about what it’s like to live with this condition and to educate others about alopecia.”
